1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are essential for the site to function; others are used for analytics or advertising.
2. What VibeScan uses
VibeScan uses strictly necessary cookies — the ones required for you to sign in and use the product securely — and, as of August 2026, one advertising/analytics pixel (Whop) used to measure ad performance and understand how visitors reach the site.

Because the session and GitHub OAuth cookies are strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested, they do not require prior consent under typical guidance. If your browser blocks them, sign-in and the GitHub connection flow will not work. The Whop pixel is not strictly necessary — see §5.
3. Third-party cookies
Some sub-processors (for example our authentication provider) may set their own strictly-necessary cookies as part of delivering their function. Whop, our advertising/analytics provider, sets its own tracking cookies/identifiers as described above.
4. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break sign-in and other core features.
5. Changes
We introduced the Whop pixel described in §2 in August 2026. Whether a consent banner is legally required before non-essential tracking like this is set is being evaluated; this policy will be updated, and a banner added if required, once that's resolved. If we introduce any further analytics or non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy the same way.
